Compeer helps people with mental illness live happier, more productive lives through the power of volunteer friendship!

There are 168 hours in a week....do you have a couple to share?

REASONS TO VOLUNTEER FOR COMPEER

  • It's fun. You'll be doing recreational activities with a friend; like going to the movies, out to eat, sporting events or even taking a class together.

  • It's flexible. It can fit into almost anyone's schedule. It only takes a few hours a month.

  • It's rewarding. You'll feel good about yourself.

  • It's worthwhile. You'll be making a difference in your community, your world, and in the lives of people recovering from mental illness.

  • It's easy. All it takes is a caring heart.

Contact your local Compeer office and they will let you know what you need to do from there.
Compeer is an international program that began in Rochester, New York in 1973. For more information on the history of Compeer, visit www.compeer.org.
